autumn,1910,atoneofthemeetingsoftheForeignSectionofthePolish
SocialistParty–RevolutionaryFractionhemetucomradeMieczysław”
–JózefPiłsudski.Sincethatmoment,heparticipatedinallthepublic
performancesoftheleaderoftheSocialistParty.
DespitehisfascinationwiththepoliticalclimateofGalicia,in
October1910hestartedhisstudiesontheFacultyofTechnical
ChemistryinLvovPolytechnicInstitute.However,in1912,obviously,of
personalreasons,hedecidedtoabandonhisstudies.Thesameyear,he
marriedJaninaSztein.Verysoon,themarriedcouplemovedtoKrakow,
whereinSeptember1913theirdaughterAnna5wasborn,andBogusław
MiedzińskicouldcontinuehisstudiesinthenewlycreatedJagiellonian
UniversityontheAgriculturalFaculty6.However,thebeginningofthe
FirstWorldWarmadeitimpossibletofinishtheuniversity.Whenhe
wasenteringtheuniversity,heobviouslyplannedthathewouldfollow
hisfather’ssteps,wouldadministersomeproperty,andthusinmany
yearshewouldsay,uhighereducationissomethingthatInevermade
useof”7.Duringtheperiodofhisstudiesattheuniversity,hemethis
bestfriend–TadeuszŚwięcicki,whowasalsoastudentofJagiellonian
University8.
DuringtheperiodofhisstudiesinLvovandKrakow,accordingtohis
ownwords,uhewasstudyinginStrzelec”9.DecisiontojointheUnion
ofActiveStruggleaswellasparticipationintheworkofthePolish
Riflemen’sAssociation(ZwiązekWalkiCzynnej(ZWC))inLvovand
uStrzelec”societyinKrakowwastakenafterthepersonalproposalof
JózefPiłsudskiwiththemediationofW.Sławek.Itisunknown,what
positivefeaturesofMiedzińskimadeimpressiononPiłsudski,and
whetherheforsuredrewhisattentiontotheyoungstudent,oneof
themany,whowereundertheinfluenceofhispersonality.Moreover,
