alformusiceducation,includinghighereducation,wasbeingplanned.Thetask
ofthenew,perspectiveeducationalidealandorderwastheintroductionofnew
philosophicalconcepts,relationsandattitudesinartistic,aestheticandethical
education.
Thefourthsourceofthepurposesofeducationwastheperiodfrom1965to
the1990s.Ideologistsandteacherswereconcernedabouttheproperimplemen-
tationoftheprocessofeducation.Theyclaimedthatstudentswithhighprofes-
sionalqualifications,atthesametime,hadalowlevelofdirectionaldispositions
suchasattitudes,beliefs,idealsandgoals19.Thismeantthatevenawell-
educatedgraduatecouldbeunusefultothecountry20,astheattitudestheypre-
sentedwerenotsociallyapproved.Theauthoritieswereafraidthatartschools,
includingmusicschools,wouldgetoutoftheircontrolofideologicaleducation
andinthefutureitwouldcauseintellectualunrestandathreattopoliticalsta-
bility.Itwasalsobelievedthatartschoolscreateindividualdevelopmentof
studentsinapathologicalway.
The1990sandthebeginningofthetwenty-firstcenturywastheperiod
withagapforthepurposesofmusiceducation.Itwastheresultofanideologi-
calvoidafterthepoliticalturnoverin1989.
Perhaps,inthelastdecadeofthetwentiethcentury,thevalueofindividual
education(personalistic)wasnotrecognized,whichasitseemsgreatlysup-
plementsthebasic,timelesseducationalidealsofmusicart.Personaleducation,
resultingfromthepersonalisticconceptofahumanbeingasaphysical-mental-
spiritualcreaturewhoretainsthephysical,intellectualandmoralpotential21,in
anaturalwayinmyopinionisclosetotheconceptofwell-establishededu-
cationalidealsandobjectivesofmusicalart,thatis:intellectualdevelopment,ef-
ficiencyandextraordinaryspiritualsensitivity.
Inconclusion,itseemsthattherearefourmajorperiodsofchangeoftargets
andsourcesofeducationinPolishmusicschoolsinthetwentiethcenturyand
goalsandidealsoftheturnofthetwentiethandtwentiethfirstcenturyandthe
beginningofthetwentiethcentury(theauthor!snamesoftheperiods):
