ACTIONRESEARCHINPRE-SERVICETEACHEREDUCATIONINTHEFIELDOFPEDAGOGY.
REFLECTIONSFROMPRACTICE**
Thisarticleisaninvitationtodiscusstherationale,thefoundationsandtheresultingplaceand
boundaryconditionsofincorporatingresearchofaneducationalinterventionnatureknownas
actionresearchintothepre-serviceeducationprogrammes(inthepedagogicalcomponent,in
theimplementationofmodulesdevotedtodidactics).Inthesituationofaradicallychanging
teachingcontext,wenotonlydonotdenybutappreciatetheimportanceofbasing(or
supporting)thedidacticsofhighereducationwiththeresultsofresearchcarriedoutinthe
quantitativeconvention(leadingtotheoriesexplainingthephenomenaandprocessesoccurring
inschoolrealityonamacroormesoscale),reachingouttotheresultsofresearchundertaken
intheinterpretativeconvention,reconstructingthemeaningsandsensesgivenbytheactors
oftheeducationalscenetotheirplaceandprofessionalrole.However,webelievethatinthe
acquisitionofstrictlydidacticcompetenceitisworthwhiletoincludethecriticalreflection
triggeredbythestudyofschoolpracticeviapedagogicaltheories,butalsotoencourageand
createconditionsforparticipationinprojectstransformingthespaceandmodesoflearning
beyondtheclassroomandschoolwalls.Drawingonexamplesfromownpractice,Ishowthe
possibilitiesandlimitationsofstudentresearchinactionembeddedindialogicalandtrialogical
approachestoteachereducation.
