decades.Technologydevelopment,changesinthebalanceofpower,
aswellastheacquiredmilitaryexperienceandtheawarenessofthe
operationalcapabilitiesofconventionaltroops,havecreatedanewtype
ofdanger,whichishybridwar.Thistypeofcombatisthemostcharac-
teristictypeofasymmetricconflict.
ThispublicationaimstoanalyzethedegreeofEuro-Atlanticsecurity,
anattempttopresenttheessenceofhybridwarsandtoindicatemet-
hodsandwaysofreactingandpreventingactionsthatconstituteahy-
bridthreatfromtheRussianFederation.
Thistypeofconflicthasirreversiblychangedboththemethodsofmili-
taryactionandthespectrumofmeansthatareusedintheseconflicts.
Newmethodsofcombathaveemerged,strategiesofconductingmili-
taryoperationshavechangedtoalargeextent,andtheprincipleson
whichthestatesecuritypolicyhasbeenconductedsofarhavebecome
obsolete.Today,havinganadvantageintermsofthenumberofwea-
ponsyouhaveisnoguaranteeofdefeatingyouropponent.Amodern
army,forcedtofightindifficultterrain,knowntothelocalpopulation
