IncontrasttothealreadypublishedworksinwhichIimplementthe
(programme)oftheethnographyofhistoricalthought,inthisbook,Ihave
shiftedtheemphasisfromethnographicdescriptionsandthinkingby
meansoflargeissuestothinkingaboutgreatissues.16Itcanbesaidthat
thisworkshowsadifferentfaceoftheethnographyofhistoricalthought.
Thischangeofemphasisispresentinmyarticlespublishedinparallel
tomymonographsandextensivechaptersincollectiveworks.Allrefer
toproblemsposedbyconferenceorganisersandraisedbytheauthors
ofreviewedpapersandeditorsofthematicissuesofjournalsandcollec-
tiveworks.Whilepreparingthesearticles,Itriedtocreateanalysesthat
would(accumulate)inaspecialway.Eachofthesesituations,whichwas
tomeetthetaskssetbyconferenceorganisersandeditorsaskingme
toreviewthebookstheyconsideredimportant,wasatthesametime
apretexttotakeanothersteponthewaytotheimplementationofthe
(generalprogramme)–theethnographyofmodernthoughtinthefield
