Globalizationprocesses
Therehasalwaysbeenabigdiscussionuponthephenomenonofglobalization.
Itcandescribedasagrowingscaleofinteractionbetweenpeopleenabledbythe
increaseoftheinternationalexchangeofinformation,financialmeans,human
resources,ideasandculturalheritage.Globalizationisprimarilyassociatedwith
economyandwiththatrespectisseenasatransnationaleconomicintegration
processthatcannotbeanalyzedfullywithouttakingunderconsiderationitssocial,
culturalandsecurityaspects.Asglobalizationincludesexchangeofgoods,servi-
ces,technology,data,financial,productionandhumanresources,thenecessity
toprovidesecurityforitisparticularlyimportant.
Asglobalizationisarapidlyevolvingmultidimensionalphenomenonofwide
rangewhichincludeschangestoinformationtechnologiesthathaveimplications
overvastmajorityofothertechnologies,securityaspectshavetobetakencare
ofespeciallywhilethinkingofcriticalinfrastructure.
Therearenumerousopinionsonthehistoricaloriginsofglobalizationpro-
cesses.Thetwomainideasare-eitherstudytheglobalizationasaphenomenon
asoldastradingbetweendifferentgroupsofpeoplelivingintheplaceslocated
farfromoneanother(somillenniumsold)orrecognizetheoriginsofglobaliza-
tioninthemoderntimes.
Inparticular,assomeresearchersfavorplacingtheoriginsofglobalization
inmorerecenttimes,otherslookforitsbeginningwiththeEuropeans“discov-
ering”othercontinentsandconquesttheNewWorld1,otherscholarsarguethat
globalizationhasstartedaslongagoasinthethirdmillenniumBC.2Stillitis
worthtorememberthatthelarge-scaleglobalizationthatwecanobservenow
beganinthe2nddecadeofXIXcentury.3Withtheintroductionofnewmode
