Flexibleformsofemployment...

creativitybutafterthepeakthereoftencomesatimeoftiredness.Accordingto

Bühler(1933)andSzewczuk(1962),creativityboostappearsatvariousstages

ofprofessionallife.Themoreonethinkswhileundertakingactions,themore

independentfrombiologicalconditionsisthecreativedevelopment.Theperiod

ofgreatestachievementsisthereforeindividualforeachperson.

Thecourseoffamilylifecanbedividedintoseveralphases(Worach-Kardas,

1988).Theyare:thephaseofprocreation,thephaseofanearlyparenthood,the

phaseofarelativefamilystabilisationandthepostparentalphase.Thecourse

ofman’slifeisfocusedonprofessionaltasks,whilewoman’slifeevolvesaround

family.

Peopleinmidlifehavearelativelystablefamilysituation;theirchildrenhave

enteredlatechildhoodandadolescenceanditispossibletoincreaseprofessional

activenessaswellastoformandimproverelationswithinvarioussocialcircles.

Changesinsocialdevelopmentcanbenotedandtheymanifestthemselvesby

anincreasedactivityincontactwithothers.Inearlystagesfriendshipboundsare

formedonthebasisofplay,lateraccordingtosimilarinterestsandafterthatthey

arebasedonthesimilarityofpsychologicalfeatures.

Thenextstageisthepostparentalperiodinwhichchildrenbecomeindepend-

entandleavefamilyhome.Maritalrelationsarestrengthenedorweakened,the

importanceofworkincreasesandthisdictatestherhythmofeverydaylife.

Adevelopmentaltaskofadultsistoworkoutﬂexibilitymechanismswhich

wouldhelpthemfunctionproperlyinlateadulthoodandallowamildenteringthe

periodofgrowingolder.Peck(1968)speciﬁedfoursuchmechanisms.Theﬁrst

ofthemistore-evaluatethesenseofimportance,thevalueofwisdomandphysi-

calstrength;thesecondoneliesinamutualevaluationofwomenandmenonthe

basisoftheirindividualpersonalityfeaturesandnotonlyinaccordancewiththeir

sexualinterests;thethirdisthedevelopingofﬂexibilityinemotionalengagement

whichhelpstoacceptthefactofpassingofclosefriendsandrelativesandform-

ingnewrelationships;andthefourthallowstomaintainmentalﬂexibilityandthe

opennesstonewideas.
