ratherofteninvariousarticlesandliterature,foralongperiodthis
personhadnotbeenfamouseveninPoland.Beforehistwobiographies
werepublishedinthePolishlanguage1,mostoftheauthorspointed
tothepolitical,officialandhalf-officialfunctions,whichhehadbeen
carryingoutduringtheperiodfrom1918to1939.Inhisyoungages,
MiedzińskitieduphisfatewithJózefPiłsudski.Underhiscommandhe
startedserviceinthePolishMilitaryOrganization,hewentthroughthe
LegionstoserveasanofficerofthePolishArmyintherebornPoland,
shouldertoshoulderwiththeChiefoftheState.In1922,Miedziński
becameamemberoftheparliamentforthefirsttime.Heremained
parliamentarianuntil1939.InI-IVCadenceSejmheparticipatedin
thesessionsasadeputy.In1939,hebecameasenator.Hewasthelast
Senatemarshaloftheinter-warPoland.Intheparliament,Miedziński
provedtobeaneloquentspeakerandanactiveparticipantofthework
oftheSejm.Hewasamemberofthemilitary,marine,constitutional,
budgetcommitteesaswellasofthecommitteeofforeignaffairs.He
wasconsideredtobeoneoftheleadingactorsoftheMaycoupd’étatas
wellasaco-authoroftheconstitutionof1935.In1927-1929,hecarried
outthedutiesoftheministerofpostandtelegraph.Duringtheperiod
1930-1939,hewastheeditorinchiefofthenewspaperuGazetaPolska”,
adailynewspaperthatwasconsideredanunofficialgovernmental
organ.In1932-1934,hewasinvolvedintotheinformalactivityaimedat
