thispositionwasbecomingstronger,whichresultedinjoiningPolish
SocialistPartyRevolutionaryFractionin1907.
Earlyinspring,1908,duetolungdisease,BogusławMiedzińskiwas
forcedtointerrupthisstudiesandundergoclimatictreatment.Itwas
possiblebecausefor20yearshisunclehadbeenworkingasaclerkin
RussianStateAuditControlChamberintheCrimea.Inadditionto
improvingofhealth,Miedziński’sstayinthesouthernpartofRussia
resultedinestablishingcontactwithhisRussianpeers.Inhismemoirs,
MiedzińskipointedthatRussianyouthatthattimeshowedquiteradical
position,whicharousedsomenegativeemotions.Theimageofayoung
Russianinhismemoirswaspresentedinthefollowingway:apupil
ofRussiangymnasium,incapableofthinkinginethicalandmoral
categories,butpronetovulgarityandviolence,usuallywithoutneed.
Havingreturnedtothecountry,heundertooktheextramuralexam,
whichallowedhimtositthefinalexamthefollowingyear,whichhe
managedtopassasoneofthesixteengraduatesofthesameyear.
However,thegoodresultatthegraduationexam,whichBogusław
MiedzińskigotintheprivateschoolPodlaskGymnasium,wasnot
enoughtoenterauniversityinRomanovEmpire.Alltheeffortsto
getapassport,whichwouldallowenteringauniversityoutsidethe
Kingdom,wereunsuccessful.Ashewroteinhismemoirs,theonly
wayoutwastoillegallycrosstheborder,whichhedidinSeptember
1909.However,takingintoconsiderationthefurthercourseofevents,
itisdifficulttobelieveinsuchstrivingforknowledge.Sincehisarrival
toKrakow,inspring1910,hedidnothingtobecomeastudentof
JagiellonianUniversity.Ashewroteinhismemoirs,hewasimpressed
byGalicianatmosphereduringtheeraofautonomy.Atthattime,he
