Chapter1,writtenbyUrszulaSwadźba,discussesthetheoreticalpremisesof
theresearch.Tedefinitionsandunderstandingofeconomicawareness,espe-
ciallytheeconomicawarenessofyoungpeople,ispresentedtherein.Tetheoret-
icalmodelofeconomicawarenessisgraphicallyillustratedasareits6elements:
economicknowledge,valuesystemandeconomicaspirations,workandentre-
preneurship,valueofmoneyandsaving,attitudestowardspovertyandwealth,
consumption.Teseelementsarediscussedindetailwhiletheauthormakes
referencestoboththeoryandempiricalresearch.Teresearchhypothesesand
theirverificationmethodswereformulated,consequentlythenextpointpresents
themethodologicalbasesoftheresearch,inotherwordsthepremiseofconduct-
ingcommonempiricalresearch,themethodofconstructingthequestionnaire
andthechoiceoftheresearchsample,conductingresearchandthemethodof
itsstatisticalanalysis.

andsocialcharacteristicofthestructureoftheinterviewedstudents’group.
Tefollowingcharacteristics,separatelyforeachnationalgroupofrespondents,
werepresented:genderandageofthestudents,degree,modeandfieldofstudy,
aswellastheirplaceofresidence.Allofthesecharacteristicsallowedmaking
comparisonsbetweenstudentsfromdińerentcountries.Inadditiontothat,the
informationaboutstudents’familieswasobtained:familystatus,educationof
parents,householdmaterialconditions.
Inthenextchapters,inaccordancewiththeassumedtheoreticalmodelof
theresearch,theauthorsdiscuss:thevaluesystemandeconomicknowledge
ofthestudents,thevalueofworkanditsfeatures,internalandinternational
career-drivenmobility,valueofmoneyandsavings,attitudestowardswealth,
povertyandconsumption.Eachchaptercontainsashortsummary.Teauthors
makecross-sectionalanalyses.Eachoftheauthors,presentingtheirownpartof
theresearch,analyzestheresponsesofthestudentsfromeachV4country.
Chapter3writtenbyNicoleHorákováandMarkétaJalůvkováisananalysis
ofthesystemofvaluesoftheinterviewedstudentsfromV4countries.Tebasic
analysisisprecededbyashortcharacteristicofthechangesinthevaluesystem.
Consecutively,thestudents’values,setagainstthegeneralsystemofvalues,were
discussed.Tesystemofthevaluesoftheyoungpeoplewasjuxtaposedwith
theresultsfromotherEuropeanresearchesonthesubject.Tenextpartofthe
articleisabouttheattitudestowardstakingonchallengesinlife.Tesewere
