andlookatimages;theyalsolikelisteningtostoriesandfairytales.Before
achildstartstoreadindependently,chooseabookanddiscoveritsvalue,
youmustfirstgainmuchexperiencebeingincontactwithhim/her,for
example,byplayingwithawatchorscribbling.Athree-year-oldchildob-
servesandanalyzeseverything.
Achildisafraidofnotbeinglovedbecausehe/sheoftenasksforand
expectsaffection.Childrendeveloptheiremotionsandlearntoexpress
themaswellastrytoimitatetheirparents’emotionalreactions.Thedevel-

Achildhasasenseofhumoranditisworthusingitinvariousdifficult

homeandnurseryschoolsareofgreatimportanceforachild’sdevelop-

Childrenatthisagearestillfocusedonthemselvesandegocentric.
However,theywillinglyrecognizeothers,aresocial,havefriendsandenjoy
havingguestsathome.Oneshouldalsorememberthatachildistootrust-
ing,evenofstrangers.
