2.SampledesigninEU-SILC
Calculationofabovementionedmeasuresmusttobedonewithtaking
intoaccountsampledesign.TheselectionoftheEU-SILCsampleisdone
bytwo-stagestratifiedsamplingwithdifferentselectionprobabilitiesat
thefirststage.Thefirst-stagesamplingunits(primarysamplingunits–PSU)
areenumerationcensusareas,whileatthesecondstagedwellingsareselected.
Allthehouseholdsfromtheselecteddwellingsaresupposedtoenterthe
survey.Thebasisforcreatingastrataisthesizeofalocality(measuredby
thenumberofdwellers),andstrataarebuiltupwithinvoivodship.Voivodship
itisNUTS2levelaTheNomenclatureofTerritorialUnitsforStatistics
(NUTS)–aterritorialsystemofclassificationworkedoutbyEurostat.
