Oilimpregnatedpaperbushings(OIP)usedinpowertransformersoften
explodeduringafailure,itcanleadtoafireofthetransformer.Oneofthe
reasonsforthepoortechnicalconditionoftheinsulatorcanbesignificant
watercontentinpapercore.Theauthorsproposedathesissayingthatthere
isamoisturedistributionwithinthecoreoftheOIPbushing.Thisdistribution
canberelatedtothedistributionofcellulosepolymerizationdegree.
Toconfirmthethesisauthorsconductedastudyonthe110kVOIPbushing.
Frombushingtheporcelainshieldwastakenoff,itallowedforinvestigations
ofmoisturedistributionincoreinsulation.Fortheresearchtwomeasurement
methodswereused-FDS(FrequencyDomainSpectroscopy)methodand
KFT(KarlFischerTitration)method.InPolishelectricpowersystemFDS
methodisusedforevaluationofwatercontentintransformerbushings.
Usingthismethodtheaveragevalueofwatercontentininsulationis
determined.
The
reliability
of
power
device
operation
depends
on
theweakestpointofinsulationsystem.Therefore,theknowledgeabout
moisturedistributionisveryvaluable,becausegivetheinformationhow
averagevalueofwatercontent,measuredusingFDSmethod,maydiffer
fromtheextremevalues.
