ThemostofpowertransformersworkinginthePolishpowernetworkhas
anoil-paperinsulation.Oneoftheseriousdefectsofthistypeofinsulation,
associatedwithalongtimeoperation,isanincreaseofmoisturecontent.
Themoisteningintroducesmanythreatstotheproperoperationof
thetransformer,whichamongotherthingsincludespartialdischargeignition.
Duetothechangingtemperatureoftheinsulationsystemduringnormal
operationoftheunit,thereisadynamicchange(watermigration)
precipitatingpaper-oilsystemfromthemoistureequilibriumstate.This
causesthatpartialdischargesarevariableintimeandtheymayintensifyor
extinguish.Studiesinmodelobjectsaretodeterminetheconditions
(temperature,humidity,time)thatwillhaveanimpactontheignitionand
theintensityoftheobservedpartialdischargephenomenon.Theconclusions
oftheresearchwillhavepracticalapplicationintheevaluationoftheresults
ofmeasurementsconductedinthefield,particularlyinrelationtothe
registrationofon-linePDmonitoringsystem.
