Thereconstructionofthemissingparts
ofthefoundations,whichhavebeendismantledinmedieval
timeswillpermitthefirststageoftheZonaMonumentale
project,acceptedforrealizationbytheEgyptianAntiquities
Organization,tobecompleted.StageIoftheprojectassumes
thattheBathsandCisternwillbemadeaccessibletotourists
inpartby1994.
Itwillnowbepossibletocompletetheanastylosisofthe
originalcolumnsoftheSouthernPortico,andinthefuture
ofthecolumnsoftheeasternandwesternporticosofthe
SouthGymnasium.Furthermore,thereconstructedfounda-
tionofthisporticowillalsocloseoffthecellarcomplexof
theBathsfromthesouth.
