over60yearsheachievedremarkablereputationandwasheldinhighesteem.2
Inmanyaspectshisresearchesweregroundbreakingforthestudiesinhistoryofthe
ancientIranandCentralAsia.Hishypothesesandfindingssignificantlyinfluencedthe
scholarshipandinspiredmanyscholars,whofollowedandstillfollowinhisfootsteps.
InappreciationofProfessorWolski’sacademicachievementsIwouldliketodedi-
catethisvolumeofstudiesconcerningtheParthiansinhismemory.
