Summary
ContrastivetextologyisafastdevelopingbranchofGermanstudies,whichgoesbeyond
theframesofcomparingtextscreatedinasinglelanguageandsingleculture.Itaims,onthe
onehand,atexpandingthecontrastiveresearchwithtextualelementsbymeansofthesocalled
pragmaticturn,andontheotherhand,attheevolutionofgeneologicalstudies,includingthe
intertextualcomparisonsbetweentwoormorelinguisticfields.Atthebeginning,theappliedtexts
characterisedbytheirschematicstructureandusuallyanalysedwithregardtothesynchronous
aspectintwolinguisticfields,werethesubjectofinterest.Inthelatestworks,theconviction
ofdiverserelationsbetweentexttypes(pragmatic,syntagmatic,thesocalledtextnetworksand
relationsbetweentextsinadiscourse),havebecomeprevalent.Therethecontextualizationof
texttypesmaybeobserved,whichappearstobeanimportantresearchobjectiveofthecontras-
tivetextology.
