multi-polarandthegeopoliticalsituationhaschanged.Thereemergednewtendencies
inthesocio-culturaldevelopmentofhumanity.Ethicsandmoralityhavestepped
forwardhustlingawaytheviolentvariantsofproblemsolving.
Inthiscontextethicalstudiesacquireanewimpetus.Butthetraditional
understandingofethicsasastudyofmoralityneedstoberevised.Ethicsisabranch
ofphilosophicaxiologyalongwithaesthetics,philosophyofreligion,etc.Weneednew
modelsrequiringcomplexandinterdisciplinaryapproaches.Oneofsuchapproachesis
socialethicaltheory,emergingatthejunctureofphilosophicethicsandsocialsciences.
Itsobjectisethicalreality,anditssubjectisthesocial-culturalconnections,mediating
thelinksbetweenthemajorphenomenaormodesofhumanexistence(morality,ethics,
andethos).
Theethicalisaspecifickindofbeinggrowingoutofcultureandtheconcrete
historicalmodeofhumanexistence.Thisisaculturallymediatedhumanexistence
wheredeontologyactsasaregulativeprinciple.Eachhistoricalépoqueshapesitown
deontologicalnotionsandconsequently,thecontentoftheethicalchangeswithtime
acquiringnewmeanings.
