Declaration of accessibility

Wydawnictwo Naukowe PWN (PWN Scientific Publishers) SA undertakes to ensure the accessibility of their website in accordance with the provisions of the Law of 4 April 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities. Status of digital accessibility

The website is compliant with the Law of 4 April 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities due to.

As a result of the test (audit) conducted, the system was found to be fully technically compliant with the “Law of 4 April 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities”. The tested system fully meets the requirements set out in this normative act and technically meets the assumptions of the WCAG 2.1 specification up to AA level.

A supportive team of disabled people, composed in terms of visual and hearing impairments, motor impairments and cognitive limitations, investigating the actual behaviour of disabled users on the site also made no comments resulting in the system being considered inaccessible. The above allows to issue the certificate of conformity required by the above-mentioned Law.

The declaration was drawn up on the basis of an examination carried out by an external body: ENTERA STUDIO WWW from Gdańsk.

The statement was made on 17-08-2021. The Declaration was reviewed on March 29, 2024.

Anyone has the right to request the digital accessibility of a website, mobile application or any element thereof. You may also request that the information be made available through an alternative means of access, for example, by reading out a digitally inaccessible document, describing the content of a film without an audio description, etc. The request should include the identity of the person making the request, an indication of which website or mobile application is being requested and a means of contact. If the person requesting the information wishes to obtain it through an alternative means of access, he or she should also specify how the information is convenient for him or her.

The public entity should comply with the request immediately, no later than within 7 days of the request. If it is not possible to meet this deadline, the public entity shall immediately inform when it will be possible to comply with the request, which shall be no longer than 2 months. If accessibility cannot be ensured, the company may propose an alternative way to access the information.

If a company refuses to comply with a request for accessibility or an alternative means of accessing information, the requester may file a complaint about the accessibility of a digital website, mobile application or element of a website or mobile application.

After exhausting the above procedure, an application may also be submitted to the Ombudsman

Architectural accessibility

There is one main entrance to the building from the Daimler Street. The building consists of eight storeys.

There are no stairs to the main lobby from the outside.

The reception desk is located to the left of the main entrance. Then you get to the four elevators. The publishing house is located on eight floor.

Toilets for the disabled are located on the ground floor of the main lobby, on the left after the lifts follow the corridor for about 20 metres and turn left again before the entrance to the restaurant.

In front of the building there are 2 designated parking spaces for the disabled.

There is an induction loop in the Libra building. In order to enter a given floor you need to inform the porter about your intention and the porter will unlock the possibility of entering a given floor after taking you to the lift.

There are no Braille markings in the building, nor are there any contrasting or augmented printings for the blind and visually impaired.
