Otherproblemsappearedwhenteacherswerefacedwithhandlingle-
arners’sensitivedataontheirpersonalcomputers.Schoolswerenotable
toprovidesecureofceequipmentforallteacherstotakehomeanduse.
Anyonecouldgetaccesstolearners’grades,familysituation,lifeconditions
andotherpersonalinformation.Forsomechildren,especiallythosefrom
dysfunctionalfamilies,schoolwastheonlyplacewheretheycouldgetahot
mealatleastonceaday.Whentheyhadtostayathome,theywerenot
abletoreceiveanysupportfromtheirparents,neitherine-learningnor
ineverydaycare.Consequently,necessarymodificationsoflearningoutco-
mesbecametheteachers’responsibilityin2020,andtherewashardlyany
supportorguidancefromlocalschoolauthoritiesorfromtheMinistryof
Education.Fortunately,thesituationchangedforthebetterin2021.
Allschooleventswerecancelled,includingsports,exchangeprograms
andproms.Tatwasespeciallyfrustratingforthoselearnerswhowere-
nishingonestageofeducationandwerenotgivenanyopportunitytoneatly
closethatperiodoflifeandtosayfarewelltotheirformerschoolmates.
Tesituationwasslightlydiferentattertiarylevelsofeducation.Teachers
atuniversitiesandotherschoolshadmoreexperienceinonlineteaching;
someusedthisformofeducationonawiderscaleduringpost-diplomadeve-
lopmentalcoursesorwithextra-muralstudents.SuchplatformsasMoodle,
MSTeams,SkypeandZoomwerequitefrequentlyemployedinsynchro-
nousandasynchronousteachingcontexts.Still,becauseofthewidevariety
ofoptionsatthebeginningofonlineeducation,therewasnoagreement
insomeinstitutionsastowhicheducationalplatformtochoose.University
teacherswouldusetheplatformtheyweremostfamiliarwith,whichresul-
tedinchaos-studentshadtologinandoutofseveralplatformsthroughout
eachday.Finally,intheacademicyear2020/21,schoolauthoritiesdecided
tomaketeachersuseoneplatformforallgroupsofstudents.
Challengesandthreats
Stateauthoritiesindiferentcountriesdecidedtocloseschoolsanduniversi-
tiesatvariousstagesofthepandemic.InPolandithappenedonthe11thof
March2020.Manyteachers,includingacademics,werefacedwiththelack
ofappropriateequipmentthatcouldprovidegoodqualityonlineteaching.
Forexample,buyingamicrophonesuitableforadesktopcomputerbecame
almostimpossible,sinceeverybodysuddenlyneededthem.Therefore,
manyteachersbeganholdingasynchronouscoursesthatwerechanged
