whileKonradofMazoviawasreceivingthepapalembassytotheTatarswith
GiovannidaPiandelCarpineatitshead.Besides,shehadexcellentrapport
withKunegunda,adaughterofKingBelaIVofHungaryandherdaughter-in-
law,whohadshowedupatGrzymisława’scourtintheageoffiveandthus
mightperceiveherasmother.BothduchessesoftenappearedinBolesławthe
Chaste’scharters.
