LakeMaryut(ancientMareotis)(Fig.1).Thethreeprincipalobjectivesofthefirstseason
conductedbyaPolishexpeditionwastomaptheconcessionarea,recordextantarchitectural
remains,andexcavate,ifpossible,oneofthestructures.Thework,whichproceededfrom
