cities,toCracow,andtoRuthenia.Itisessentialtoundersandthe
interrelationshipsbetweenthemerdantelitesofToruń,Cracow,and
Silesiancitiesandtowns,whidwereinconsantconflidoverprofits
fromtrade,butatthesametimemaintainedincreasinglyclosesocial
contadsandfamilyties,andflowedindiferentdiredionsinseard
oftheirplaceonearth.Tesetravels,sharingofideas,andtransfer
ofknowledgeabouttheworldandtheuniverseofthatperiodarethe
bacdropforthebirthinToruńofNicolausCopernicus,oneofthe
mosoutsandingsdolarsofhistime,amanconsideredoneofthe
