asolutiontotheproblemofthemeaningofthewholesentencebegin-
ningwithδńδωPi.Varioushypothesesarepossibleastothecontents
ofthelacunaatthebeginningofline9andconcerningthemeaningof
thewholepassage.Teseproposalscanbedividedintothefollowing
groups,accordingtothemeaningattributedtothereconstructedtext:
I.Tereisnodirectconnectionbetweentheclausebeginningwith
PέVoVtocandthewordχωρ[ńc].Somestatusremainsunchanged,in
spiteoftheuniversalgrantofRomancitizenship.Tatmeansthat
thedediticiiareexcluded(χωρlctῶVδηδεitiKńωV=praeterdediticios).
